Story Corner Showcase - The Book of Languages

With the recent reintroduction of the Story Corner, we thought it only fitting to put together a showcase from our local writing group for this week's content feature. Toady, we're bringing a rare piece of phenominal, hand-made content that got an unfortunately low amount of attention at its launch. We are of course talking about The Book of Languages Parts I-III by Powersocke Prime.

This is an incredibly unique piece of content, even for the Story Corner, which is home to a diverse array of interesting tales and chronicles. Not only has Powersocke agrigated some really interesting linguistic lore for us from various obscure verbal systems around Nirn, but has also chosen to do it in this incredible aesthetic manner, which exhibits rarity both in talent and form. It's not often you see hand-drawn and written art on the internet, but Powersocke has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is a place for it within our community.

Powersocke has showcased what little lingual lore we have in a simply stunnng colligraphic hand that's a joy to simply look at, let alone read. Well worded and succinct, these posts are certainly worth stopping by and giving a look. The full book so far includes pages on Ancient Akaviri, the old language of the Dunmer's ancestors known as Ald-Chimeris, and perhaps one of the most ancient forms of speech known to Tamriel: Aldmeris itself.

We won't delay you any further with words of our own. Waste no time in heading over to Powersocke's original post (linked above) and enjoy what it has to offer!

  • Hey!

Thank you so much for your feature! I just got caught by absolute surprise when I saw the notification on the Discord server mere minutes ago. And, what can I say, this prompted me to add three more of my finished entries to what already exists in the Table of Contents. Have a look if you like!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot to me as an amateur artist. <3

    • Absolutely no problem my guy it was well deserved, and well worth it for getting some new entries!
