What are some of your Favorite Gaming Experiences?

Share with us your most memorable gaming moments. It doesn't necessarily have to be from Skyrim or Fallout though you're welcome to mention experiences from those games. • I love Dark Souls III. As such, I have played through that game multitudinously. After NG+, I have adopted the particular habit of cosplaying bosses from the game as well as past entries in that franchise.

On one of these special playthroughs, I have resolved to imitate Dragonslayer Ornstein, known from the Ornstein & Smough boss fight in Dark Souls I, complete with armour, corresponding weapon and matching miracles (spells).

During the The Ringed City DLC, at one point in the game one is going to find themselves at the gates to a church, the entrance to the Spears of the Church boss fight. Upon ingress however, the player is met not with any standard boss as they may be wont to. Instead, another player (provided one is playing the game online) is summoned to take the place of what would have been a regular boss. For you see, should you emerge from that battle victoriously, you are awarded the Spears of the Church covenant ad hoc, enabling you to be eligible for being summoned to the boss arena as the boss your opponent has to overcome in order to progress. Additionally, whenever you are in the role of the boss, you are assisted by an NPC Painting Guardian, known from Dark Souls I near the painting that leads to the Painted World of Ariamis in Anor Londo.

So, as was iterated upon before, I chose to cosplay as Dragonslayer Ornstein and made my way to the aforementioned boss fight. Turns out, however, that the player who had been summoned as my opponent had the exact same idea. As a result, I got a PvP battle on completely even terms, as my foe and I sported the exact same gear and equipment, down to the miracles we used, including even the means with which we invoked these spells.

Needless to say that it was far from being a lopsided battle. In fact, this was the most enjoyable PvP experience in a video game I have hitherto witnessed. My enemy was even accustomed to dueling etiquette. So we bowed before each other and began battling for at least fifteen to twenty minutes.

In the end, I emerged from the fight in triumph. But not before giving my fading adversary a dignified bow before they disappeared.

  • my first game was LOZ: Wind Waker. The first time I took off into the Great Sea was mesmerising and I was absolutely awestruck..

    • Wind Waker produced some of my most terrifying gaming moments. My heart skipped a beat the first time I got locked I to a surprise battle against a sea monster.

      • You're not the only one. First time I got caught ina fight with those things was during that massive storm, which only added to the sense of terror.

  • Probably one of my favorites was my first team clear in Destiny 2. This was during the first Trials of the Nine. The enemy fireteam had mine pinned down. I flank them, and as one turns to look at me, I open my fire with my Hardlight. Before any of them have a chance to turn their gunfire towards the laser spewing Warlock, they were all dead.

Another time was during a Control match. I managed to solo capture a point, while fighting I believe the entire, or almost the entire, enemy fireteam. I captured it....then a few seconds later the enemy Titan shoulder yeets me

  • I had real fun with Dark Age of Camelot (mmorpg), i started being fond of strategy games with Rome Total War (and i love all the Total War serie). Dragon Age Origins had been a real thing for me then Mass Effect has been a shock (1&2 mostly). I started the Elder Scrolls with Skyrim at the age of 30. Now Skyrim is my drug and my only drug even i had some very nice experience with Dark Souls III.

  • My first game experience was when I was around five and played silent hill. I was scarred but it was fun and exiting I guess
