Which Faction is Morally Correct?

Ah, Fallout, what a slew of factions to meet, and maybe even join. Today, we'll be talking about the main actions of Fallout 4, and whether or not it would be morally correct to deal with them. In the words of Lucio, "Let's break it down!'

The Brotherhood of Steel-A staple of the Fallout series. Headed by Arthur Maxson, who you may remember as that one kid from FO3 who hung around the Citadel, the Brotherhood has become more militaristic and less focused on helping people on a humanitarian scale, and more focused on keeping dangerous technology out of the hands of ne'er'do'wells. Plus, they furthered the whole knightly, Arthurian vibe. They're focused on wiping out ghouls, Super Mutants, and Synths, especially Synths.

The Railroad-Introduced to us back in F03 as a group of Synth saving rebels, this cloak and dagger group works from beneath the Old North Church to try and free any and all Synths they can.

The Institute: The "boogeyman" of the Commonwealth. This hidden organization of scientists seek to not only restore, but improve mankind, with advanced technology. Currently, they see Synths as little more than property. While some may see that they have a chance of gaining sentience, they still think it is far too early.

The Minutemen-A ragtag milita, like their namesake, generally individualistic. The "backup" faction. Led by Preston Garvey and you. Colonial feel. Altrustic, caring about the people, trying to restore the Commonwealth.

  • I feel like I’m going to be the only asshole who sides with the Institute. But I choose the institute. Not because they’re the most moral but because they have the greatest chance of the 4 of saving what’s left of humanity.

    • Fair point, as they're some of the most advanced in the Commonwealth. While they made be morally dubious, you could turn it around, and its shown that not all the Institute members are, well, evil mad scientists. Some actually DO wanna help humanity

  • Railroad and Minutemen all the way. Institute is too shady  and the Brotherhood of Steel only care about technology.
