Although I never fully finished the playthrough, I remember running a character in TES IV: Oblivion that was based on Maximus from the film Gladiator. I'd like to pick it up again some time. What characters have you guys played? What can you recall about their stories?

  • My favourite morrowind character was a nord with a custom class I called "Berserker". I didn´t know there was gonna be an enemy type with that same name so this was quite funny for a while. He was intended to be the absolute best warior I could make. utilizing all the beast gear and weapons. therefore, his major skills were axe, heavy armor, enchanting(for lower casting cost with "cast on use" items) mediuam armor and spear(for training endurance) I ended the game with 100 in every attribute, all the artifacts in the game, (and realizing how shit you are at magic if you don´t pick highe elf or brefon as a race or pick any of the magicka enhancing birthsigns. like seriously, 100 magicka for 100 intelligence? at this point this was less than 20% of what my health was.) and remenising about how I´d gotten to this point. sadly, i can´t play him anymore, since my sae files got corrupted.

  • One character I played in Oblivion - actually now that I think of it, I don't think I've actually played it for fun, besides just making builds if that makes sense. I do recall having a character who was a mix and match with skills (Weakness spells, Potions (Alchemy is extremely powerful from what I learnt), Heavy Armor and some Destruction spells).

  • Something I tried in Oblivion and Morrowind which I enjoyed was an armoured mage that specialised in touch spells. Worked really well with the spellmaking system - my Morrowind character's spell of choice applied Weakness to Magic and did a few points each of Frost, Fire, Shock, Magic, and Poison damage as well as a few points of Shield and Absorb Health.

  • I remember TES III came out when I was in like 5th it 6th grade. I remember playing a khajiit and I also remember having no idea what I was doing.

    • Even though Morrowind came out when i was about 4 or 5, my first ES game was Oblivion. I played out as a Breton, had little idea what to do, and loved it
