Hey guys, since about late last year, I have been having problems with my PC playing Skyrim. I have factory reset it (I don't recommend it as it takes FOREVER), updated my Drivers etc etc. you say it I have most likely done it. My PC is more then capable of playing it, as it recommends I play it on High (Graphics but I prefer Medium just in case), but that's not what I am here for.
After doing more research yesterday, I found out that due to (some) reason, Skyrim is 32bit and if it hits over 4G VRAM, it will start lagging, freezing and so on, until it gets below that mark. It is lower on other PCs. This is off the top of my head as I don't have my PC with me at the moment. I heard that you can somehow stop Skyrim from hitting that mark using mods. I remember something about Boris (Creator) and the 'ENB' Series. I am not to sure, as mods are new territory for me.
My my question is this, is it possible to stop Skyrim from hitting the mark (4GB VRAM), via mods? I have updated my drivers and played around with the ini Files and even reinstalled it.
Also, if I can get it fixed great, if not I'll have to live with it. On another matter, IF one was to get into modding, what mods do you suggest? Nothing game/lore breaking, though.

Hey buddy I think I got your solution right here. The problem you’re having is that without ENB your graphics load is piggy backing off the same RAM as your scripts etc. the link below shows you how to use ENB to make it so your graphics use your graphics card VRAM rather than your system RAM.

Follow everything this guy says cuz there are a lot more you can do aside from setting up ENB to stop crashes entirely. I have a decent pc now and thanks to this my game almost never ever crashes.

Skooma Dealer pretty much hit the nail on the head and I’m sure Teccam will elaborate even further. I would highly suggest using Mod Organizer over the Nexus Mod Manager. It’s way more stable, can incorporate any nexus mod no problem, and allows for as many separate profiles as you desire.
