WIP Character Builds

We understand making a great character build that others actually want to play is difficult. And while some are comfortable working on their build in private and releasing it when complete, others may desperately need a lot of guiddance along the way. Whats where this section comes in.

In this section you may post any half finished rough draft build your working if you're in need of guidance or just want a place for people to evaluate your work as you work on it. Here are some helpful guidelines to remember

-Ensure you include the term "WIP Build" to your title so it can be more readily distinguisable from completed character builds. Example - WIP Build: The Sneak Archer

-For those posting their WIPs here, please be open to constructive criticism. You wouldnt be posting your work here if you thought it was perfect to begin with, so please make an honest effort to take in criticism.

-For those commenting, dont be an ass. It takes a bit of courage to share ones own creative ideas, so dont ruin it by trying to bring people down. Be mindful of how you critique. Focus on being constructive

-When your build is complete, feel free to move it yourself or let me or an admin know and we'll move it over to where the completed builds reside.

WIP Build: The Champion of Storms

WIP Character Build:

The Champion of Storms

Image result for urbosa art

-so basically this was heavily inspired by the character Urbosa from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I'm going with like a strong courageous warrior that kind of represents the Redguards or like at least Redguard warriors (like Urbosa is the chief of the Gerudo)-

Race: Redguard, preferably female^^

Stone: depends, I find the Lord useful but if you have trouble with mages then Atronach would be good

Major skills: Destruction, One-Handed, Block, Alteration

Minor: Restoration, Enchanting

Shouts: Storm Call, Unrelenting Force

Armor: gold and emerald circlet (w/ fortify destruction, fortify alteration), red Redguard clothes, gloves, gold emerald ring (w/fortify one-handed and or fortify magic skills), Redguard boots

Weapons: Schimtar of the Seven/Moonlight Schimtar (schimtar w/ shock damage, abosrb stamina possibly?), glass shield (w/ resist magic)

Important Quests: Companions--you are a chief, after all, thane quests, Dawnguard, Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, other quests related to destroying monsters/evil/undead (Meridia)

Alright so basically you're a very noble (female) warrior that represents all Redguard warriors, hence the "Champion." Furthermore, you are able to utilize the power of lighting as well as the blade, which the champion was trained with since she was a child thanks to her royal blood. When the champion is called to Skyrim by her ancient ancestors to deal with the emerging threat of dragons, she travels there immediately. Unfortunately, she is caught on the border and captured along with a horse theif, a Stormcloak soldier, and the fearless leader of the Stormcloaks. While on the chopping block, the champion finds out exactly why she was called here. Alduin, the ancient destroyer of worlds. Now, the champion of storms must destroy the evils of Skyrim with her magical and strong combat skills with her schimtar.

So this is what I'm going for so far, I'm guessing it would be a lot easier to understand if you have played Breath of the Wild. Currently, I'm at around level 15 and block is actually really fun. I'm tying to figure out some way to make gameplay really seem unique.

I think I can help with that. Tell me. If you can give me a basic run down of how you handle combat with this character against various enemy types, I can likely point you in the direction of some powerful mechanics to explore.

  • Hey Jordan. Just wanted to check up and see how this build is coming along.

    • Oh hey sorry I didn’t respond to your last post I didn’t get a notification lol.

so anyways basically this build isn’t really going anywhere because I have found it to just be too boring. Plus my character is pretty weak and some of this things I could do to change it doesn’t really seem canonically correct (in reference to the inspiration for the build) and it just doesn’t seem right.

but I have started brainstorming and stuff on a different idea that I posted about in the help thread about the Ghostblade and a character that uses spectral-based stuff and strategies (become ethereal and illusion)

i might come back to this evantually, but I have more in store for other places. Sorry to disappoint

      • No worries Jordan. I’m sure you’ll have an even better idea when you come back to this build.

    1. ordinator spellscribe and the scimitar windshear (use a mod to get the encantment from it for personal use) would liven up this build a bit i think
