Something I've always wanted to ask: How does one typically plan a lengthy story? Do they write as they go along or is each chapter planned well in advance?

  Typically if the author is a "professional" they have the length planned out, with some exceptions of what the story forces onto them. As for we fan writers, I can say with clarity, at least for myself:

My phone had a heart attack and took all my gaps and indents, and made it a block of text. I tried to edit it, but it looks the same. Help? :-/

  Ning really doesn't like mobile devices. Never has. Its best to reserve phones for browsing and short 1 paragraph replies.
