  • We're almost the exact opposite. Riften is one of my favorite cities. Somehow that cesspool of corruption feels like one of the most real cities in the game. Life is hopelessly bleak in Skyrim and Riften reflects that well.
  • My favorite city would have to be Falkreath. I have always loved the forest atmosphere around it due to the scenery and aesthetics and as an assassin fan, The Dark Brotherhood instantly clicked with me. Lakeview Manor also happens to be my favorite Hearthfire home. Even though the town isn't as busy as others like Solitude and Whiterun, it's also not as bleak as Winterhold or Morthal. My least favorite would have to be Markarth because I always have trouble navigating around it.

  • Dawnstar, Winterhold, Morthal, Falkreath... pretty much pasted copies of each other.

      • He’s just listing the cities that he doesn’t like; the reason being that he thinks they’re just copies of each other. Nothing wrong with it, though more explanation would be good.
        • Truth is, I wrote that comment during a break between classes, and planned to continue with a follow-up comment, but I didn't manage to catch a stable internet connection till just now.
      • "Defy logic" huh? I like that. This is what I do best ;P

          • All of them are composed of a handful of thatched stone-wood shacks. I don't know how you can call it a city. Capital city, nonetheless!

Wait, is the question about cities? Areas around cities? Or whole regions?
            • You bring up a good point. I meant to ask which holds people like or dislike.
              • Thank you for clarification.
    • Can I say Gran Soren? No?

Then Whiterun it shall be. Looks very nordic. Reminds me of Bruma a lot, actually. Which I like.

I mean, the other ones I have listed earlier look largely the same.

P.S. Imaginary high five to those who know what Gran Soren is.
