Character Build: The Poet-King

Introduction

Foreword

I have made an attempt to represent Nord culture as best I can in this build.  That said, I do not condone racism and always make an effort to keep my Nord characters, you know, not racist.  Because of this, I used the Conquest of Skyrim mod to avoid joining the Imperials or Stormcloaks (as it clashes with his character).  I have also added a Traits and Flaws section to this build to show a bit more of his personality.

Backstory

Betrayal.  That is the only word that truly fits what happened to the man called Hradrknir.  Deorrlaf, a man he once considered a friend, betrayed him, framing Hradrknir for his own father's murder.  It hurt worse than a hundred thousand battle wounds.  However, it showed Hradrknir something.  After that, he concluded that it was not enemies he needed to watch out for.  It was his friends.  An enemy would always be that: an enemy.  They could never get close enough to hurt him.  Now a friend, well, there's a reason he had difficulty trusting people after that.  He was exiled to Cyrodiil.  One day, he received a message via courier.  This message from an anonymous sender declared it was safe to come back to Skyrim.  On the way back across the border, he saw a group of men tied up.  He tried to untie them, thinking this was the result of a bandit attack.  The Imperials saw this, and, thinking him a traitor, knocked him unconscious and took him with them to Helgen.  And well, you know the rest.

Factions/Quests

The Companions: Become the leader of the only semi-honorable faction in Skyrim.

Main Quest: Save the world, meet Ysgramor, and fail to absorb Alduin's soul.  Also, now you can yell at people to send them flying off bridges.

Conquest of Skyrim: Most Imperials lack the backbone to stand up to the Thalmor, most Stormcloaks are racist, and you are neither.  Make your own faction.

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood: You can't let a murder cult plague your kingdom.  Eliminate them.

Dawnguard: Vampires now threaten Skyrim.  It's time for another adventure.

Dragonborn: Miraak is sending cultists to kill you.  Team up with a Cthulhu wannabe and bring him down.  Time to save the world.  Also, this is kind of getting out of hand.

[Hearthfire Expansion]: Get yourself a wife (or husband, we don't discriminate here), some kids, and a nice house.  You deserve it after saving the world five times.

Gameplay/Special Moves

Your strategy is going to be the same for most opponents you face.  Hradrknir will rush up to someone and cut them down (usually with a power attack), or he might use one of his special moves.  The only time this really changes is when you fight a dragon or some other flying opponent.  You whip out a bow and shoot the flying lizard.  Conversely, you could just get Faendal or Aela to shoot it for you.  I used followers exclusively after defeating Alduin to demonstrate character development and Hradrknir allowing himself to trust again.  Anyway, time to go over the special moves.

Harbinger's Whirlwind: Whirlwind Sprint to close the gap, Forward Power Attack + Werewolf Form

Honorable Warrior: Unrelenting Force + Standing Power Attack (Must be in a position where UF doesn't make them impossible to hit, such as staggering a giant or pushing someone against a wall.)

Fallen Brethren: Call of Valor + Forward Power Attack + Sideways Power Attack
