This is my second skyrim build I am posting it is intended for vanilla or AE but is still loads of fun to play.
Backstory
Konahrik was not always his name, his old name has been lost to ancient history and not even he remembers it. In the distant past Konahrik was a powerful dragon priest. He was proficient with both spell and blade but always wanted more power he was always jealous over the power of Alduin. He also wanted the legendary mask Konahrik and so did the rest of the priests. So when word of him starting a massive coup against Alduin reached the ears of the other preists they informed alduin of the plans and staged an attack on his city. His poeple liked him and were happy under his rule of the city. So when an army of dragons and nord warriors marched upon his city his poeple were prepared to defend and they put up a pretty good fight. But with all other cities sending more soldiers against him and his city he was forced to retreat from skyrim. they travelled as far north as they could. Finally they reached the sea of ghosts and they sailed as far as they could for several months they were at sea. Until they finally pulled up on the shores of a strange land when they left their ships they were greeted by people who called themselves Tsaesci. The Tsaesci had serpent like eyes and strange armor but seeing armor with elements of dragon bones and scales the Tsaesci greeted them with open arms. When they finally learned the languages of each other the Tsaesci asked him his name and he told them it was konahrik meaning warlord in the dragon tongue. Over the years the tsaesci curiously asked why Konahrik was aging and when he told them it was a natural part of life they were shocked and they asked if he wanted the key to immortality he agreed and they did a long and complex ritual. When it was over he became immortal but forever trapped in the body of an old man. He made a city in Akavir and he ruled over it for thousands of years when the akaviri invaded Tamriel he proudly sent troops and his troops served as a guide. He knew about Iontith but hardly cared about it. but he longed to go back to skyrim and so he did, him and his poeple who had fully endorsed the ways of the akaviri including the weapons and armor. So when they came upon the shores of tamriel in akaviri armor they were jailed by the thalmor who were mistaking them for the blades. they tortured him and his poeple for nearly three years in a secret prison hidden in the mountains on the border between Cyrodill and skyrim. One day the last remaining people who had not died during torture broke out and they began to fight the soldiers. They escaped and ran north when they were caught in a battle between Imperials and Stormcloaks and only he survived. But was loaded up and sent to helgen.
Roleplay
Konahrik hates the dragons for chasing him out of Tamriel and will want to follow the main quest first. Getting his revenge on Alduin will finally bring him peace and also finish destroying whats left of the Dragon Cult when he is done with this he will want to get what he has been coveting for thousands of years and that is Konahrik the dragon priest mask. He will become part of the blades and help them rid the world of those vile winged beasts and erase what is left of the Dragon Cult off of the face of Nirn. For a house I think lakeview manor works great and it seems like it could be a place where an old warrior can rest and look over at a beautiful lake and take a breather. The samurai may love his akaviri gear and philosophy but he still is a true nord and loves skyrim and he hates the thalmor so he will not want to see a civil war tear skyrim apart so he will side with the Stormcloaks. He does not agree with the dragon banner or bending the knee to the Thalmor and would like to see an independent skyrim. Konahrik is an honorable good hearted warrior and will help the poeple of skyrim. Joining the Companions would be fitting for him but he will want to cure him self he will also want to join the college of winterhold and study the history of Tamriel and he will want to side with the dawngaurd and rid the world of the evil of molag bal. He has some thoughts about returning to Akavir but decides skyrim will always be his true home. Maybe in the future he will try to connect the akavri and the poeple of Tamriel. Also religion has a big affect on any roleplay but Konahrik is not to worried with religion as he has ancient Tsaesci msgic keeping him alive.
Weapons/Magic/Armor
Konahrik will make use of the Dragonbane blade which fits his backstory. For magic he will use restoration and destruction. I personally like using the shock spells for him. For armor he has a full set of blades armor and of course Konahrik this combo looks epic in my opinion and Konahrik reminds me of a classic samurai oni demon mask and I think it makes him look like a mythical samurai. Also use a bow classic samurai before they had guns used really cool bows really any bow works so just choose whatever you like best or if you prefer even do a crossbow. You will also want the black star for recharging dragonbane.
Shouts/Race/Stats
For shouts I recomend these
- CALL STORM This one ties into the lore. Supposedly when Ionith was founded the Tsaesci altered the waether and sent huge storms against Ionith. I roleplay that the Tsaesci told Konahrik how to put the weather itself under his command.
- DRAGONREND This shout fits the backstory so well crippling a dragon with his voice is awesome this is surley to make any Dovah fear his voice.
- BATTLE FURY A shout fit for a charismatic leader when fighting among his allies he makes all of them more powerful.
- CYCLONE This one is just really cool and it fits the ability to command the weather. Plus I think its an awesome idea of a samurai who can summon a small scale tornado against his enemies
- DRAGON ASPECT Its just super cool looking and makes you more powerful.
- ELEMENTAL FURY Its just like battle fury but for yourself when have no backup.
For the race nord all the way what kind of build would this be if he was not a nord
STATS
- DESTRUCTION novice destruction, 2 in augmented shock, and disintegrate
- RESTORATION novice restoration, regeneration and respite
- ONE HANDED 5 in armsman, fighting stance, critical charge and savage strike,
- ARCHERY 3 in overdraw 3 in critical shot, eagle eye and 2 in steady hand
- HEAVY ARMOR all 5 in juggernaut, well fitted and tower of strength
Gameplay
This build plays like a spellsword so with your trusty shock spell and your good old katana dragonbane and charge into battle using lightning cloak and cut down your enemies one by one and the main shout you want to use is call storm. Doing all this you are nearly unstoppable and your enemies can hardly even reach you.
