Breton concept
:::::::::::::::::::::::Backstory::::::::::::::::::::::
Valoryn comes from the Breton homeland of Highrock, and the city of Evermore. Born in 4E 183, to his Stendarr worshipping father, and priestess mother. His upbringing was like many Breton youths, where he would be drilled in magical study. Being from Evermore, there would also be a focus on martial abilities. Valoryn, loved the study of magic, but grew restless in Evermore. Being there his whole life, and traveling very little due to the rise in lawlessness throughout Highrock. One day while roaming the markets, looking at the different wares, he wandered up to the smithy to browse his latest creations. Conjuring the forces of nirn, and a blacksmiths skills were one in the same to him, and both would inspire daydreams of adventure. The blacksmith had only one item out, and was packing it away. A bright steel shield, trimmed in etchings, and an image of the mighty god Magus in the center. The smith recognized his adoring fan and greeted him, like he did every day the boy came out to look through his stock. Then the boy asked him if he was closing shop, and it turned out he was. He was moving his work to Cyrodiil, to work with his cousin who needed help there. The two brothers would make good gold seeing as they both could enchant their gear and thus raising the price dramatically. They boy, just 15 at the time asked him he could join him, but with a friendly laugh he was rejected, the smith being friends with Valoryn’s father. He told him not to grow too fast, that life is always moving whether you like it or not, and that his time to seek his own path would arrive soon enough. The boy, disappointed, bid his farewell to the man, and ran off towards home.
Two weeks later, the smith with a loaded wagon, was on his long road to Eastern Cyrodiil when he had to set up camp for the night. As the sun went down and the fire light shined, the smith’s horse stirred. Quickly grabbing his hammer, and a torch from the fire, the smith readed himself to scare off the creature brave enough to stock the man, when out of the brush came Valoryn, wrapped in a travel cloak and hungry. After being feed, and being let known of the set back he caused, the boy told the smith he had left a detailed note to his parents, and would not go back home. Either they traveled together, wherever the smith went, or he would find his own path. Annoyed, and unsure m, the smith agreed, but was never easy on Valoryn from that point forward. Tasking him with many things along the way, but the boy, while not showing it, enjoyed the experience and was thankful to have a taste of real life.
A few years later, Valoryn was a young man, and wanderlust had struck again. He had continued his magical, and martial studies and had gained new skills with help from the smith. All these combined with the knowledge of the civil war in Skyrim, he sets out to aid the Imperial Legion stationed there. He heard many stories from his father while young, and from the smith of the terrible Great War, and believed the Empire and all men, needed to consolidate what strength they had, or be annihilated by the Thalmor and their Dominion. After being gifted with a brilliant new shield he left the smith, gaining passage through a small, and daunting path through Skyrim's southern mountain range. Valoryn planned to take refuge in a cave before reaching transport from Riften to Solitude. This plan was cut short as he was assaulted by a feral vampire, narrowly escaping but injured badly, Valoryn traveled the empty roads in search of aid. Finally, his help was found but as he approached the soldiers dressed in red, he was captured, mixed up in a brawl between Stormcloaks and the Empire, later waking in a cart bound for the walled town of Helgen.......

So he would one of Harkon's court.
Should we be aiming for Spellbreaker?
While Auriel's Shield does give us a Shout bash (unrelenting force) maybe a Ward on blocking from Spellbreaker will be more useful considering
The Stone + your race bonus will leave you vulnerable to 25% of Dragon breath and spell attacks. If it's fire breath or a flame spell then we would take 2x damage, not ideal. True you can seek out the Staff of Hasedoki to get a ward, but that is a CC item and the fights to get it can be tough.
