About the Story

This tale follows the journey of the old and embittered mercenary Joramund - Stormrider. Detailing his adventures and experiences through the County of Bruma and into the northern province of Skyrim. The tale spans from 4E 175 - 4E 201, touching on parts of the great war and post war world.

Old wounds will be opened, Bounties will be collected on and mead will be drunk as the civil war of Skyrim spills out into the Northern reaches of Bruma. Amidst all this chaos a darker force has begun to take root on behalf of the broken empire....

A word from the Author

This is my first multi chapter story and I am excited to be sharing with you. It will be a slow-going process as I work full-time and am quite the thorough writer. I have taken inspiration from several sources for this story, but the greatest inspiration is GRRM's ASOIAF. I wish to emulate the dark gritty fantasy that is present in his writing. So, if you were hoping for a happy story about sunshine, butterflies and unicorns I’m sorry to disappoint. This story hopefully will leave an impression on you, as I explore the darker beats of a land in turmoil, seen through the eyes of a grizzled old mercenary.

Lastly, I'd like to thank Kendrix and Lee for their ongoing encouragement and support throughout the writing process of Joramund's story. The input you guys have given me has been super helpful so Thanks!

  • Oh I'm liking this. I haven't seen many stories around the Great War. Looking forward to chapter 3
