Hey y'all!
Valentine's Day is upon us once again. For some, it's a time to show that special someone you care. For others, it's just another day of work, sleep, game, repeat. (It's okay, buddy. I'm right there with you.)
Regardless of where you stand this Valentine's Day, I think it's safe to say we all can rest easy knowing we have a pretty woman, or handsome fella, waiting for us when we retire. After a long day of questing- fighting dragons, killing draugr, saving orphans-, there's nothing like coming home to our spouse's loving smile and a bowl of homemade stew. Ah, yes, I am talking about the beloved marriable NPCs that the world of Skyrim has to offer.
From the man to woman, beast to mer, Skyrim is full of a long list of characters and personalities that have managed to capture our hearts and inspire us to make that out of the way trip to the Temple of Mara. Regardless of how ruthless and tough my characters may be, they always find themselves falling for someone one way or another. Life in Skyrim is lonely and challenging, so it's nice to appreciate the simplicity of Elder Scrolls marriage. But with so many options- and so many people we wish were options- it's hard to definitely say who is the best Skyrim Lover. May I suggest a...
Battle of the Wives (and Husbands)
I want to hear who you think is the best Wifey and/or Husband and why! Did their Dibella-given good looks draw you in? Did they woo you with charisma and charm? Did their battle-prowess and kick-butt tactics seal the deal? What's your reasoning for your favorite wife or husband? I'm not limiting this to Vanilla marriable characters either, because- let's face it- Brynjolf is probably the best husband material in the game. On February 14th, I look forward to checking back here and seeing who chose and why. Who knows? Maybe you might persuade me to give someone else a try!
As always, Talos Guide You!

Oh boy, where do I begin. There's so many fantastic NPCs that can and can't be married which I've fallen in love with at some point during my hundreds of hours in-game! I'll drop my top 3 here:
I'd also like to point out that Fort Dawnguard is chock full of cuties. Celann? Agmaer? Serana? Ingjard? Thanks to them, the sun isn't the only thing that'll be rising tomorrow.
Ahem...
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Mambo Number Five
One, two, three, four, five
Everybody in the car, so come on, let's ride
To the liquor store around the corner
The boys say they want some gin and juice
But I really don't wanna
Beer bust like I had last week
I must stay deep because talk is cheap
I like Miraak, Miraak, Miraak and Miraak
And as I continue you know they getting sweeter
So what can I do? I really beg you, my Lord
To me is flirting it's just like sport, anything fly
It's all good, let me dump it, please set in the trumpet
A little bit of Miraak in my life
A little bit of Miraak by my side
A little bit of Miraak is all I need
A little bit of Miraak is what I see
A little bit of Miraak in the sun
A little bit of Miraak all night long
A little bit of Miraak, here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man
Mambo Number Five
Jump up and down and move it all around
Shake your head to the sound
Put your hand on the ground
Take one step left and one step right
One to the front and one to the side
Clap your hand once and clap your hands twice
And if it looks like this then you doing it right
A little bit of Miraak in my life
A little bit of Miraak by my side
A little bit of Miraak is all I need
A little bit of Miraak is what I see
A little bit of Miraak in the sun
A little bit of Miraak all night long
A little bit of Miraak, here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man

'Cause you can't run and you can't hide
You and me gonna touch the sky
Mambo Number Five
So many wifeys:
I agree with you about Njada. I always end up marrying her in every game play. She could really start as annoying at first, but her character development towards the dragonborn, even during the time she becomes a spouse was probably the reason she got me.
You know I’ve never given it much thought really at all. Most of the ones listed here, I’ve either never clicked on with them (unsure to not even noticing) or just never thinking about that side of Skyrim before.
I’m like a certain character from my writing. Aside from one person, I prefer my books and adventures with said person - speaking in game here
