For me, it ultimately depends on the playstyle.
I once spent hours meticulously grabbing the perfect ticks of various enchantments for a Skyrim High King build I did, while others just get a lame name slapped on them
An old xbox build was an actual dragonborn - played as an argonian with lots of spikes and big horns and collected all of the shouts
He wielded a dragonbone greatsword called "dov jot-zun" which is dovahzul for dragon mouth weapon or, basically, dragon tooth
And a dragonbone bow called "dov su'um" or dragon breath
For most of them, the armor pieces are simply named after the class, unless I want something specific - or I'll take advantage of the Disenchant Everything mod (or whatever it was called) and disenchant daedric artifacts to make weird combos with an amalgam of names.
My dwemer researcher character has a dwarven enhanced crossbow enchanted with lightning and the notched pickaxe enchantment and I named it the Electro-Mechanical Crossbow.
I did a modded playthrough a few weeks ago, named my Falkreath Warhammer (from Immersive Weapons) Namira's Wrath because the Wood Elf I was playing was a follower of Jamie a through Wintersun.
My Skyrim character has 3 different enchanted items with name:
Slashy-Boi (Daedric Sword)
Face-Smasher (Dragonplate Shield)
Beating-Stick (Ebony Warhammer)
my younger brothers thought up the names, so i decided to use them
