Hey guys. I touched on this topic briefly in the Tips and Tricks round up thread but wanted to elaborate a bit more here. I'm here to share with you a little trick I found out while experimenting with raise undead spells and alchemy. Having used this in two builds already I can safely confirm that everything I am about to write works.
The glitch is simple to activate. All you need to do is resurrect a foe who has been killed while under the effects of paralysis. The paralysis effect can come from any source, perks, spells, poison, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that the foe dies while still suffering from paralysis. Poisons are probably the best way to accomplish this since the paralysis can be paired with other nasty effects like lingering and ravage health that make things easier.
For some reason, once resurrected the zombie will not be able to move from where it was raised, nor will it be able to attack. Enemies in the are will still register the motionless zombie as a threat and attack it. The zombie is indestructible and will be able to withstand everything thrown at it.
You might think its useless to have an invincible monster that cant fight back but consider for a moment how the enemy AI works. For the most part an enemy will not relent once locked onto a target. The uses for such a technique should become obvious for those whose primary defense against damage is to either avoid it or get a tankier ally to eat the damage instead.
Forcing your enemies to gather around and mindlessly attack an unkillable target makes an invaluable crowd control technique. Though harder to set up than simply summoning a daedra lord or atronach, not having to worry about your summoned allies dying off in seconds is a huge relief.
The only restriction is how long the raise spell lasts. This is where fortify conjuration potions and dual casting conjuration spells come into play. Together you can have an indestructible dummy target that will last several minutes. Interestingly enough using the ritual stone allows the unkillable zombie to last forever.
And thats all there is to this trick. Have fun trying it out and happy hunting.
