There was a time when mortals did not merely seal the gates of Oblivion — they crossed them. During the Oblivion Crisis, the Hero of Kvatch stepped beyond the threshold, walking the burning planes of Mehrunes Dagon not as a victim, but as an intruder — proof that the barriers between worlds could be studied, navigated… perhaps even mastered. This forgotten discipline — Planewalking — has since faded into myth, buried under fear, dogma, and the convenient silence of those who would rather such knowledge remain lost. But not all have turned away. Alix is among the rare few who seek to understand what lies beyond the veil, delving into Daedric lore, forbidden rituals, and the volatile interplay between fire and Oblivion itself. To her, this is not reckless curiosity — it is purpose. If the planes can be crossed, they can be understood. If they can be understood, they can be controlled… or defied.
This build was made using the Gate To Sovngarde collection by JaySerpa.
Without further ado : let’s meet Alix, the Wild Ember.
Alix would be best described as a field daedrologist : a mix of scholar and operative, she explores the various realms of Oblivion through Planewalking, always in a logic to better know her enemy ; indeed, she firmly believes the Princes to be fundamentally evil, and tries to thwart their sinister plans for Mundus at every turn.

Here are the quests Alix will look to complete in her adventures ; her main focus will be to remove Daedric influence from the mortal plane, notably by seeking and destroying daedric artifacts. She will also explore various planes of Oblivion, and investigate mysteries that might indicate Daedric influence. This list is non-exhaustive and in no particular order.
COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD - Alix will join the College and work on resolving the matter of the Eye of Magnus.
LOST TO THE AGES - Alix will seek the Aetherium Forge, an ancient Dwemer forge capable of destroying even Daedric artifacts.
DAEDRIC PRINCE QUESTS - Alix's choices will systematically go against the wishes of the Princes, and destroy any and all artifacts she may acquire through the Aetherium Forge.
SAINTS & SEDUCERS - Alix will explore the Shivering Isles, and (very reluctantly) help two unusual allies of circumstance.
CARVED BRINK - Alix will stumble upon the works of another Planewalker, and follow him into the realm of Peryite.
VIGILANT - After the attack on the Hall of the Vigilant, the Vigil of Stendarr have not given up on fighting the daedra menace : Alix, while she remains independent, will help them in this endeavour, and go as far as to explore Coldharbour, the realm of Molag Bal.
SIRENROOT: DELUGE OF DECEIT - Unnatural magic is coming from the depths of Lake Honrich - could it be the work of a Daedric Prince ? Alix will investigate.

The set of armor she uses is found early on in the Carved Brink questline, in the house which Alix uses as her base of operations : it is conveniently located near the entrance to the Pits, the plane of the Daedric Prince Peryite, allowing Alix to explore it frequently for ingredients... And make sure nothing ever comes out of it.

Alix is a mix between a Fire mage and a combat archer ; as such, she relies on mobility, constant spell casting, and using beneficial potions at the proper timing. Combat is fast-paced, unforgiving and chaotic, but she is devastatingly effective against hordes of Daedra or single, powerful enemies.
The key to mastering Alix's combat style is to use her entire toolkit, constantly swapping between quick volleys of arrows and powerful dual-cast Incinerates. Spells that should, however, remain active at all times include Dull Embers, if only to prime your target for other Fire-related effects, and slow them down, which facilitates kiting them, and Blazing Great Fireball, which not only thins out the ranks of weaker enemies very fast, but also does terrifying damage when only one target is present ; utility spells such as Expel Daedra can pose a lot of troubles to other summoners, but can also be used on your own summons to trigger their explosion effect instantly.
Constantly casting while being on the move (which is made possible by the Pilgrim II and Unhindered II perks), Alix is able to choose between flame and arrow depending on the type of enemy she is facing - as a general rule of thumb, the bow is favoured against targets with boosted magic or Fire resistances, while dual-cast magic is used against heavily armored opponents. However, even against those, it is best to try to find a quick shot or two to trigger Curse Binding, which massively amplifies your Fire damage.
Her entire combat effectiveness depends on mobility, clutch precision, quick decision-making ; she gets brutally punished by hesitation, bad spatial awareness, or resource mismanagement. She either wins fast and decisively, or loses in the exact same fashion.
That just about does it for this entry to the "Lost Arts" character building event. Thank you very much for reading it !
I really enjoyed crafting this build, studying daedric lore (shoutout to Drewmora for the YouTube content i binge-watched). A massive thank you as well to JaySerpa for compiling Gate to Sovngarde, with so many amazing mods tied to Daedric Plane exploration, player choice for vanilla daedric quests, and much more. I had a blast (re)discovering Vigilant, Carved Brink, Saints&Seducers: Extended Cut, and so many other modding masterpieces, and playing through all of them as Alix.
You might have noticed I went out of my usual ways, with a more condensed "quick build" here - I thought an Event Build was the perfect place for experimentation, so do let me know what you think of this shorter format !
I hope you enjoy playing Alix in your own game - click on the image below if you want to check out the rest of my work on the SkyForge. That's all from me for now, but expect more coming soon !

Damn this is impresive ( as always) i see you couldn't resist to choose another breton girl ;).
Congratulation you finished your build before mine and your are really well made
Glad you like it - can't wait to see what you've cooked for us (pun absolutely intended) :D
Your builds always look so fun, might have to download gts just to play them
Thanks for the praise - and I will never get tired of saying it : GtS is FIRE (pun intended), download it !
Awesome work as always. As someone who plays with an, albeit modified, version of GtS, this build seems like it would be quite fun to play
Really cool, your builds are making me want to give Gate to Sovngarde a try.
Oooh, I thought it'll be a combat-related spell (for the whole Planewalking thingy), and yes, I actually thought planewalking as in accessing some sort of pocket dimension for combat purposes and not just housing/safe haven. Overall though, it looks like a fun and interesting build to try out, especially with more expanded options in Alchemy (reminds of your ole' Beckoner's build but less trappy and more alchemy and quests... Holy that's a LOT of it). I'm also a bit jealous with that Syrabane boons, man, those are crazy boons right there.
Nice work, Saronis!
