WIP Character Builds

We understand making a great character build that others actually want to play is difficult. And while some are comfortable working on their build in private and releasing it when complete, others may desperately need a lot of guiddance along the way. Whats where this section comes in.

In this section you may post any half finished rough draft build your working if you're in need of guidance or just want a place for people to evaluate your work as you work on it. Here are some helpful guidelines to remember

-Ensure you include the term "WIP Build" to your title so it can be more readily distinguisable from completed character builds. Example - WIP Build: The Sneak Archer

-For those posting their WIPs here, please be open to constructive criticism. You wouldnt be posting your work here if you thought it was perfect to begin with, so please make an honest effort to take in criticism.

-For those commenting, dont be an ass. It takes a bit of courage to share ones own creative ideas, so dont ruin it by trying to bring people down. Be mindful of how you critique. Focus on being constructive

-When your build is complete, feel free to move it yourself or let me or an admin know and we'll move it over to where the completed builds reside.

WIP: The Blackthorne

Welcome friend to my first Skyrim build upon the Skyforge! I’ve spent way too long getting here, but I hope it will be the first of many. First off I want to thank Belisaurus and Curse for their encouragement and friendship.  Without either of them I would not finally be getting this one done.  Also, thank you Curse for help with the build name!

“Oh, how I love this land. The kiss of the wind upon my cheek, the coolness of the ground beneath my bare feet, and the warmth of fur between my fingers.”

The Blackthorne is a druidic type character whose love is life, nature, and her fellow mortals. She travels from village to town to city aiding those in need with her magic and knowledge. She is not above menial labor, willing to pick crops and chop wood just to make a new friend. Always at her side are a collection of animal companions and a faithful follower upon whom she has made a lasting impression.

Race: Bosmer.  With Imperious and Ordinator installed, we'll be able to get two big old bears to act as our tanks in combats.

Stats: TBD.  The Blackthorne needs a good size pool of magicka to fuel her Restoration spells and a decent health pool helps if she gets caught in a tight spot.  We'll be using stamIna to zoom and slow time with our bow shots, but we'll offset a lower stamina pool with other effects.

Standing Stone: Steed.  Using the Steed Stone will allow the Blackthorne to wear heavy armor while still maintaining the ability to run during skirmishes.  If using Convenient Horses, you will also train that horse faster.

Major Skills: Archery, Restoration

Minor Skills: Speech, Illusion

Equipment:  TBD

Required Mods:

1. Ordinator
2. Imperious
3. Summermyst (Maybe)

Recommended Mods:

1. Convenient Horses
2. Special Edition Followers

Thank you so much for checking out the Blackthorne!  Let me know if you give it a try and tell me a story or four from your travels across the wild reaches of Skyrim.  As a warning, I like nature based builds and gameplay, so this might turn into my theme.  Until we meet again, friend!

  • im pleased with the progress you’ve made with this build. I can tell from our extensive conversations on discord that you’ve put a lot of thought into this build. I look forward to reading the completed build.

    • I can never thank you enough, Curse.  I'm pretty excited to get this far.  Now I've got to work through the game and work on making it pretty.   :)  I'm not great at art but going to try my best!

  • Ok, taht's a start. I think i recognise the main graphic from D&D? Or maybe not. I know that girl from somewhere.

    • I found it online.  Believe I've shown it to you once before.  I'm thinking it's a little too big.
