Majni returned to their tent with baby Rakel and layed her down on a small fur while he settled himself into his own fured bedroll.
Rakel continued crying while Rakel tried to came her down. He started humming a luuaby to the little nord so she would fall asleep.
She finally closed her tiny eyes minutes into the song's chorus. Rakel slept peacefully and would occasionally have nightmares of her
parents being brutally murdered. This was only temporary as her body soon stopped thrashing about and lay still.
Rakel's breathing slowed somewhat and she got into a more restful sleep. She woke up in a realm unknown to her, it was a grassy
island surrounded by water and a deer-man was sitting against a tree looking out over the crystal clear water. Rakel crawled to the
island's edge and looked down expecting to find an infant's face staring back at her, that was not the case, however, as a small
brown wolfling with sunset-colored eyes stared back. Rakel noticed her tiny hands became tiny paws and that she had grow a short,
stuuby brown tail. She sat down in the grass and howled mournfully, covering her eyes with her paws.
The man, named Hircine, bounded over to the wolfling in much the same way a deer would after its mate Rakel turned to look at
the man and tried to speak gibberish but instead uttered a low, soft growl. She buried her furry face into his bare chest, thus
imprinting herself onto him forever. Rakel spotted a blue blur in the air and sped off after in like a shot from a gun. Hircine smiled as
he witnessed the wolfing 'playing' with her prey. She caught it between her tiny fangs, brought it back to the daedric lord to give to
him, must like a dog gives his master a ball to throw.
Hircine eyes narrowed as the young wolfling wwas coughing and hacking, trying to eject something from her stomach. Hircine bent
lower so he was level with the wolf's head and asked her if she was feel alright. In response the wolf hacked up the butterfly she had
been playing with earlier.
Hircine 'smiled' as he scratched the wolfling behind her ears as she panted heavily,
"You know, I think I will call you Accalia, it the name of a long-dead female alpha who did me proud and I expect you will do me
proud as well."
He cocked his head at the infantile creature,
"What do you think, good name?" The small wolf yipped joyfully.
Hircine got to his knees,
"Right, Accalia it is then."
Accalia caught the butterfly in her fangs ain and wondered what to do next, should she kill it or let it go? In the end, she let the poor
bug go. She whined as Hircine looked mournfully at her, but congratulated his hound in training noentheless.
Rakel woke the next morning crying. Majni woke up and walked over to her bed, picked her up and patted her back, trying to calm
her down. She probably misses her mom and dad he thought as he carried her outside and sat her down by an unlit fire, he set his
bag next to him, out of which he took a torch, lit it and waved it under the fire. Once the fire was going, he went into the tent and
came out carrying a pan along with some food. He sat back down in the snow, placed the pan on the fire and put some venison
chops on to cook.
When the chops were done, he removed them from the flame and handed on to Rakel, in small pieces. Once they had their fill, Majni
went to leave the camp with the baby. When he was about over the property line, the statue to the north spoke to him. It beckoned
to him and he followed the statue's call.
"Hunter, come to me, I have a task to ask of you." It said to the new pack alpha
Majni approached the statue, placing his hands on the altar at its base,
"What do you require of me, Lord Hircine?"
The statue laid out his orders,
"My hound, I want you to go to the north of your camp, there you will find a band of werewolf hunters. They know about your
parents' demise and have targeted baby Rakel as their next kill. As you can no doubt see, the werewolf hunters, known to all of
Solsthiem and Skyrim as the Silver Hand think lycanthropes ungodly beasts and will stop at nothing to see my children all dead. You
must hurry and stop them before such an event occurs."
Majni nodded and said he will do his best to make sure they suffer for their egregious trangession. He left the shrine, which had
fallen silent once more, returned to the camp and packed his bag with food for the journey and his trusty iron sword and shield. He
left Rakel where she sat, told her he will be back soon and left for Fort Frostmoth.
