A man named Sam Guevenne approached Ararvyne as he rest from his trip to Mount Kilkreath. Seeing his inner strength, the Breton challenged him to a drinking contest with a special staff on the line. Ararvyne was confident in his ability to hold liquor, and the prospect of obtaining further power did appeal to him. Normally he'd still never take such a dangerous risk as getting drunk in unfamiliar land, but something about Sam encouraged him to let loose his inhibitions.
He won, naturally, but felt the effects almost immediately...
