Welcome to the Skyforge Library. I, Fimvul, will be your guide, your Psijic Loremaster, your Blades Archivist, your Master of the Arcanaeum. What do you seek?

If you have come seeking knowledge on the richer aspects of Elder Scrolls & Fallout lore then look no further.

If you'd like other scholars to resolve some of your doubts, just ask your questions in our General Lore Questions thread or ask another scholar to answer it for you.

Maybe you want to share an interesting bit of lore, but it's not enough for a separate discussion? Fear not, for there's a place for that, too.

Perhaps you're into some independent field research? This should get you started.

Do you intend to post a discussion of your own? Check out Fimvul's Guide to Lore Posts to get started.

Want to see something specific in my next Lore Report? Sumbit your requests here.

Having trouble finding an article or snapshot already posted? Fret not! Try looking here: Lore Report or Lore Snapshot

Have a suggestion? I'm sure there's an appropriate place to submit, but if not, you can always shoot me a friend request and DM me personally!

Remember, knowledge is power. And as one wise mer once said, barra agea ry sou karan. Wear lore as your armor

Preceptor and Protector of the Oldest Tomes and Master of the Skyforge Library, Fimvul. (Special mention to former Fautor Cannon for the setup and organization of the Lore Group)

  • I feel like there's no interest in lore, even though the numbers would say otherwise. I mean, this is second most 'populated' group, on par with general discussion. And yet it's the most desolate one.
    • I feel like it's mainly because many of us are very uneducated in terms of lore, or perhaps we just don't know how to write a proper discussion about it. Of course, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, but I'm focusing on my character build for now. I've been wanting to work on lore for a while now, maybe I'll give it a go in the near future.
    • Asyleph makes a valid point. We're not lore experts. But that's where you come in. You strike me as a fairly smart guy. What this group needs is someone to take the lead and make it something even a lore novice would want to take part in. I think you're the guy for the job.
      • I guess I could give it a try
    • Way back on The Skyrim Blog the Lore Group was an important part of the site. It had one main guy named Vix who was a master at lore. He welcomed every new member, answered every question especially the low-knowledge/basic questions. He helped guide people into the depths of TES lore. He was so good at it that Bethesda recognized him and even named a character after him!

That is the best setup for a lore group. There are novices and there are those interested in more...then there is the loremaster who teaches people what they want to learn.

This group needs a dedicated loremaster to run the group. It will never be the most popular group but it can be a beacon to those who want to learn, even if they only want to know some simple fact.
  • I love lore and know a lot about it. I'm not sure why I wasn't a member of the group until now - I'll add some actitity to the group hopefully.
    • Hopefully
  • Changes to the lore group incoming!
    • I look forward to seeing what you do with the group!
      • I'll do my best to make it better and hopefully attract more people and activity.
