Character Build Showcase - The Mabrigash by Ponty

3672101364?profile=RESIZE_710xHail adventuerers! We welcome you yet again to the weekly Character Build Showcase, where we pull out a Skyrim build from here on the Forge that really deserves some more love and interest.

In the spirit of the contest that launched not long ago on the Forge (click here for more information) in which builders used to using the fun and unique gameplay mechanics brought to Skyrim by its talented modding community will be challenged to go back to the basics of building when the game launched on the famous date, the 11th of November, 2011, we will be highlighting a vanilla build this week. A classic dating back to before the creation of the Skyforge itself, and having just recently made its way here to the Forge, Pontybrings you the Mabrigash

A reclusive tribe of Ashlanders famous for the powerful connections with both serpentine and pyrotechnic magicks, the Mabrigash Tribe have produced some formidable warriors, but none more so than this rogue Wise Woman of their tribe.

By secret rituals the Mabrigash steals a man's vital essence and makes herself a powerful sorceress and warrior. The manifestation of her dark power is called a ghost snake that paralyzes and drains a victim's vitality.

An incredibly versetile build that plays as a heavy pyromancer with hints of illusion and alteration, the Mabrigash Wise Woman uses an interesting exploit from the vanilla game that allows her to deal massive amounts of fire damage in a very short period of time, all the while using her other tricks to incapacitate her enemies, that they may do nothing against the tide of flames she will unleash upon them.

Be sure to check out the build and, as always, hit it up with a like, and be sure to give the combat demo Ponty has provided a watch. I can't recommend this build enough, and we still have a ton of other characters to highlight for you in future weeks forged by talented builders. Keep on forging, and yours could be next!

Character Build Showcase - The Shaper

3648360515?profile=RESIZE_710xHey guys, we're back again with another Character Build Showcase! In the spirit of our current Skyrim Character Build Contest we have a featured build that truly demonstrates the potential and synergy of werewolf form. This week's featured build is The Shaper by Ponty. As always I'd like to start out with an excerpt from the author themselves to give an idea of what this build is all about.

The Shaper is a powerful magicka user, able to cast a wide variety of spells, as well as take on a fearsome beast form. In humanoid form, he is able to shape the energies of fire, frost and lightning to destroy his foes in all manner of grisly deaths, and summon a full variety of daedra from Oblivion to assist him. He can also mould the minds of others to his will to take control of any situation, and even heal the wounds of himself and others. A powerful mage for sure - but that's not all. When the situation calls for it, the Shaper can transition into a terrifying werewolf form, making him tougher and stronger, wreaking havoc across an already-chaotic battlefield.

A chief complaint of werewolf builds, and vampire lord builds for that matter, is the feeling of having one's own abilities and powers pushed aside in favor of those offered by their monstrous transformation. But such is not the case with the Shaper, a build that combines the terrifying versatility of a master wizard with the equally terrifyng brutality of a werewolf.

Ponty's use of werewolf form is simple yet brilliant. As powerful as a mage can be they are still hampered by a multitude of weaknesses - archers, aggressive melee fighters, or simply exhausting their supply of magicka to name a few. The werewolf form exists not to override and replace the mage but rather cover his weaknesses by being everything the mage cannot be in human form. The end result is a mage who has an answer for every situation imaginable.

And with that we shall wrap up this showcase. As always, I encourage you to give this build a try and don’t forget to leave a like and/or comment on the build if you enjoy it.

Keep building friends! Because you never know which build we'll feature next, and it might just be yours!

Character Build Showcase - The Nightguard By Ponty

Welcome to this week's Character Build Showcase, where we take a look at some of the high quality builds that you can find within the Character Build Group.

For this weeks showcase we've chosen an awesome classic by Ponty entitled the The Nightguard. As always, to pique your interests here's an excerpt from the build itself:

The Nightguard is a powerful ancient vampire who has overcome his bloodthirst and instead uses his powers to protect the people of Tamriel. He is skilled in the use of arms, armor, and shields, as well as the art of stealth. He is also able to heal himself, in addition to creating, upgrading and enchanting high quality arms and armor.

In this humanoid form, he's a skilled assassin and warrior, and can transform into a Vampire Lord to gain access to powerful magic powers, including life drain, telekinesis, necromancy, and summoning. With the powers of both his humanoid and Vampire Lord form combined, he's able to achieve almost any objective with ease.

Ponty's Nightguard sets itself apart from other vampire builds in so many ways. Where as just about every vampire build you see falls under one evil alignment or another, the Nightguard is a good guy with a bit of a dark side.

The Nightguard is a well rounded build that utlizes two forms which compliment one another quite nicely. In humanoid form the Nightguard is a stealthy heavy armored fighter capable of quickly closing in on his enemies to deliver heavy damage. In his vampire lord form the Nightguard possesses an arsenal of dark magicks which allow him to obliterate his enemies from afar.

So go check this build out and check back soon for another Character Build Showcase. Keep on building and it may just be your build we feature next!
