Character Snapshots

Greetings, sera. Plenty of us have gone in-depth when creating our characters, whether they be for Character Builds or for our own personal leisure. And perhaps you want a chance to be able to share that character you've created. But some of us just don't want to have to deal with the process of creating  long, overly-detailed Character Profiles for those characters. Perhaps you don't have the time, or you simply don't have the patience.

Character Snapshots is a thread for those people who don't want to make Character Profiles for their characters, yet still want to share them for others to see. Here, you can post a small snippet of information about your character, including that character's image, gear, weapons, chosen skills, etc.

-The Daedric Templar-

Name: Ararvyne Varam

Class: Nightblade

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Interests: To manipulate the fate of Tamriel

Skills: Illusion, Enchanting, One-Handed, Destruction, Light Armor, Conjuration

A fragment of a long lost Templar organization, Ararvyne, codename "Blackblood", now travels through Skyrim, in the hopes of reviving the organization he'd served thus far. Upon finding the true power of the Daedric Princes, he plans to revive the Templars under their power, and force mortalkind's evolution through the advent of the "Age of Daedra".

These are quick and easy to make, while still capable of being detailed enough to describe your character to other people. So if you're looking for an easy way to show the character you've created to the member of the Sky Forge, this is the thread!

    -The Sorcerer's Ascension-

    Name: Hathar Morne

Alias: "Kazhul the Unliving" (Future Lich Name)

    Class: Mage

    Alignment: Lawful Evil

Interests: To attain Lichdom and study magic forever

Skills: Enchanting, Alchemy, Conjuration, Alteration, Destruction, Illusion, Restoration

Hathar lived his life with an abnormal passion for studying magic and mysticism. He found the infinite potential of the arcane to be alluring to an addictive degree; there were so many things possible, so many hidden spells waiting to be learned. Each day he threw himself into his studies with a zeal that could only otherwise be found in the most devout of Paladins, and he was fortunate enough to have a master wizard as a mentor to allow him to do so.

But there were several limitations that often prevented him from throwing his full attention to his passion: The need to eat and drink in order to survive, the need to sleep in order to regain his strength, and the many ailments that would afflict him when he neglected his body's health. Even his own master, skilled as he was, passed away due to old age, leaving Hathar alone to his suffering.

Each night, Vaermina would visit upon him nightmares of his own mortality tearing away to library of information he was building. Forgetfulness and feebleness were the bane of his existence. It wasn't until he'd found an unusual grimoire, De Vermis Mysteriis, that he'd learn of the answer to his troubles: Lichdom. If he could shed his mortal form he would have no need to eat, no need to sleep, no vulnerabilites to ailments. He could study magic for all eternity.

He made the resolution to travel to Skyrim in order to obtain the knowledge necessary to unlock this power, for he knew only one being would have what he sought: The dark god of knowledge himself, Hermaeus Mora...

    • This is really cool man! Loving the story behind this character.

  • Name: Hallbu Dragonstar

    Class: Hexguard

    Alignment: Neutral Good

    Loyalties: Mara's Benevolence, Maran Knights

A devout believer in the principles handed down and shown to mortals by Mother Mara, Hallbu is a highly trained knight with an excused practice and study into some heavier magics. His previous life has allowed him to develop into a machine of heavy armor, long blades, and especially shields as he carries a large, round targe with Mara's holy symbol on the front in a thin lining of gold. Trained in the particularly holy warrior magics one would expect from a Maran Knight, Restoration and Alteration, he also harnesses darker powers of soul manipulation in the forms of Conjuration and Enchanting in order to overcome those who refuse the unending Love of Mara and would destroy the well being of others on Nirn.

  • 7921973883?profile=RESIZE_584x-The Arcane Citadel-

    Name: Aurelius Everlund

    Class: Sorcerer

    Alignment: Neutral Good

Interests: Oust the Aldmeri Dominion, re-establishing the Empire as a benevolent sovereignty once again, therefore forging an alliance that betters civilization, rather than oppresses it.

Skills: Heavy Armor, Block, Alteration, Destruction, Restoration, Alchemy

Description: From the genesis of his Arcane training, Aurelius focused his endeavors towards defensive magics. In the Legion, Aurelius never developed an advanced martial prowess, always favoring spell over blade. While many can wield the potent power of magic, Aurlelius spends countless hours scribing each of his spells, as to fully understand how they interact with Aetherius. This precise understanding led Aurelius to excel among the smattering of Battlemages he considered his peers. As a consequence, Aurelius found himself rapidly ascending the Legion’s ranks, becoming one of the youngest Tribunes at the age of 31.

In conflict, Aurelius takes position in the vanguard, utilizing his mastery over defensive Alteration and Restoration magics to ward his compatriots from harm. His closest companion is the Angora Ferret Cassandra, who helped pull him from despair over the loss of his love, Beatrice. Now, Aurelius holds himself to impossible standards, taking any of his allies' injuries as a fault solely on his part. While skilled with wards, the entirety of Aurelius’ restorative skills stem from an understanding of alchemical admixtures, a repertoire pieced together from his mother and grandfather’s recipes.

“By this point, I don’t care who my patron is, I’ll just take the coin.”

    Name: Drevas Sadryn

    Profession: Hitman / Dagger-for-Hire / Thug

    Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Interests: Sadryn just wants a peaceful life, and to see a day where he may retire from this life, quoting: “in a countryside, no more daggers, no more blood… peace.”

Skills: Sneak, One-Handed, Light Armor, Speech

The Silent, The Violent & The Grumpy

A Dunmer thug with a few years of experience, Drevas Sadryn is one who has worked for Tamriel underworld for more than a decade. He started out as a tax collector for the Cammona Tong in Morrowind in his teens, soon after slaver in Black Marsh and then an Assassin in Cyrodiil, where he made ties with the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild (“old enemies can become new friends”, he says of them). Two things do all these have in common: Firstly, that they have all be done to further his own gains, and secondly, a necessity of killing, and so he discovered he was good at killing. He ended up choosing to shed blood over some of the more “civilized” criminal activities, since it is what he does best. By now, he is what could be considered middle age for Mer, and he hopes to retire, eventually, leave the underworld with riches and finally, as he’d say…

    “Be done with this shit!”

  • I love this example.

  • How did you do this?

  • -E’bim of the Reach-

“Morals can go to Oblivion. My kin don’t see that plucking a sword through a human heart pays as well as delivering a trolls head!”

    Occupation: Beast Hunter / Hexer

    Alignment: True Neutral

Interests: The reachman just seeks to find contracts, kill the beast and get his Pay. Rinse and Repeat.

Skills: Two-Handed, Light Armor, Archery, Block

Born a child of Reachmen, E’bims first years of life were spent in unity with his tribe, hunting and gathering in the mountains of the reach. He had loving, if strict, parents, and kin who mentored him on the ways of his people. His life was not particularly different to that of any other tribesman ‘til his 15th Winter, when the tribe celebrated a ritual to honor the Old Gods, when the nords came. The markarth guard began raiding the camp, along with a man of strange eyes and two swords on his back. As battle raged, E’bim hid in one of the tents, where he had to silently see his people murdered, containing his cries. After the battle, he was found by the man of two swords, who instead of just slashing him down, decided to spare him, and in fact, take him with him, though against his will.

He sent him to a broken-down stronghold further into the mountains, along with other of similar age. The reachman underwent hard training, both physical and mental that is better left unwritten, he endured this into his younger adult years. He set out during his 27th year into the continent a full-fledged hexer, though the kind boy was long gone by then. He had grown to be a psychopath, who didn’t mind taking coin for mer or man as he did for beasts. He is now of middle age, many seasons have passed since his training, and he has returned to Skyrim to ply his trade, with a war raging on, vampires running about and criminality rising in the province, it’s a contract haven for a man as him.

(Credit on Hexers and their lore to Shadon, a genius build that inspired me to make a character! I tried to make the guy more akin to the Cat Witchers)
