Well its been long overdue but its finally here! The much anticipated 4th Skyrim Character Building contest is live. With that we're proud to present...
The Elder Scrolls: Gods and Mortals
For this contest we wanted to try our hand at a theme revolving around the many higher beings found in The Elder Scrolls while granting contestants as much freedom as possible, and with gods of all kind being the center focus, this contest will grant contestants more freedom than they've ever had before. In this contest we'll be exploring the connections shared between mortal kind and the many gods which inhabit the Aurbis.
There are no limits or restrictions on the skills, mods or equipment you may use. Use whatever you want. BUT your entry must revolve around one or more deities within TES. The Elder Scrolls series is rich with a multitude of god like figures for you to work with - and you're by no means limited to simply the Divines or the Dardric Princes. Any higher being within the TES universe - anything from Sithis to even Mannimarco - is fair game. Your character is by no means limited to simply being a champion acting on behalf of your chosen deities either. So long as your chosen deity remains the centerpiece of your build in some capacity you're free to do whatever. Your only real limitation is your imagination. You may work in teams of no more than 3 people total.
Once the competition closes, a panel of judges (see below) will judge each submitted build based on the criteria below and announce the winners! Here are the prizes…
First Place - Gold
- $30 Dollars in game credits for the system of your choice (Steam, PSN, Xbox)
- Your build prominently featured on the front page
- Exclusive access to the judging panel of the next contest (only if not participating in said contest)
- Input into the theme of the next Skyrim character build contest
- "Contest Gold" tag for the submitted build
- Your soul claimed for eternity by a Daedric Prince of your choosing.
Second Place - Silver
- $10 Dollars in game credits for the system of your choice (Steam, PSN, Xbox)
- Your build prominently featured on the front page
- "Contest Silver" tag for the submitted build!
Third Place - Bronze
- Your build prominently featured on the front page
- "Contest Bronze" tag for the submitted build!

- You may work on your own or in a team of up to 3. (Note however the prize will be split among the team) You can come up with a team name if you like!
- Only 1 build may be entered per contestant/team.
- Please list which diety or dieties your build will focus on.
- Teams may register on this thread and submit a build at any time prior to the cut off date of October 31 2020 November 7th 2020 After this date Registrations will then close and the panel will judge the entries.
- Submitted builds must include a "Contest4" tag so we can find them
- Winners will be announced on the 15th of November 22nd of Novembe

Ok! Kendrix and I have chosen our Deity.
We would like to center our build around the Brass Tower, with supporting themes from Xarxes and Xen of the Altmeri pantheon.

The Criteria is quite different from the last contest. Interesting. Not sure I agree with the changes, but I understand them.
After careful consideration, I am withdrawing from the competition. Just not feeling it this time and when I'm not feeling it, I'm not going to force myself to do something that could result in something I'm not proud of or that isn't me. Good luck to all.
Nevermind, I can do it. My apologies for being extremely wishy washy. I've been going through some tough times at school (they are giving me a huge run around about a promised financial aid package that has yet to arrive, resulting in me not being able to register for classes and possily not able to graduate with a degree I worked very hard to finish). You can only imagine that level of stress. These tough times have brought me down and if I took it out on people in the past few weeks, I'm sorry.
That being said, contrary to it being bad for me, I think participating in the contest will be a very good thing, if I just go and enjoy the process of creating a build. So I'm entering again.
The deities will different though. In a complex, narrative-driven build I will be exploring the many different gods that pertain to the development of this very special character, as well as metaphysical concepts. The build will use Adamant and Mysticism, involve complex attribute distribution based on narrative, unusual standing stone usage, and unusual blessing choices. It will be an intricate build, and I'm not sure I will even complete it by Oct. 31, but I know I will enjoy trying to. The build is called Faal Straag Rod (The Turning Wheel) and yep, it's based on my fanfiction character. Among the deities explored are Auri-El, Kyne, Mara, Stendarr, Hircine, Meridia, Molag Bal, Hermeus Mora, Shor/Talos, Alduin, but this is, by no means, the definitive list.

Can I do the Wilderking
Curious who that is but Sure you can.
A god worshipped by tribal Bosmer. Teineeva and I were brainstorming this when I was initially considering the contest. Sort of an elusive political figure in Greenshade tribes with an interesting command of nature from what I understand. A Wilderking can select a mortal (who demonstrates worth) to take his place when the Wilderking dies becoming the new Wilderking. Lol, it sort of reminded me of the Dread Pirate Roberts, but with Bosmer stuff instead of pirates.
